however when i punch these in the only messages I get back are "code error" and "not allowed". Am I doing something incorrect? Thanks.

These did not work either, I get the "Not Allowed" message. I have been trying to do this unlock with no sim in the phone. Has anyone else got the "Not Allowed" message? Is this bad? Is this very bad? No worries I already have an unlocked 3650 I just got another from at&t because it was cheap and I wanted to see a phone get unlocked. If I have done gone and messed up this phone I will return it for another and try this again. Thanks for the help guys.

They have to work !!!! If they don`t work you have entered wrong codes to many times and only datacable will help you

Very strange, these are the codes I punched in the first time, starting with the 1st and 7th codes like it is said to do in the guide. Followed by the rest of the codes. They all gave me the message "Code Error". Now I get the message "Not Allowed" most of the time but also get "Code Error" as well. I am thinking If you get the message "Not Allowed" that the phone can no longer be unlocked by pressing keys. 3650 data cable? Where does it connect? Thanks.

I have also read this to be true that you can not unlock AT&T USA 3650's with the keypad. If so, can someone tell me what equipment I need to unlock it? Thanks.
