    Hi!

Im not sure that You can use COBBA from another model...but it is the last thing that You must do when Your phone does not get signal..
check the external antena conector....If its good try to reset FAID
And if it doesnot help try to reheat the CCONT /You can find it easy the label is at the top of the hip/ and reheat the PA too
This part is the bigest one on the top of the phone.../You must take off the shields to si the elements/
And may be it is a good idia to test the phone with Eeprom tools
it will save alot of time.../can find this in download section/
    Good luck!
    Regards!

    Lightbulb Help needed with 6210

OK, here's the deal. I have a 6210 that had a terrible signal problem. I've been struggling with it, a friend tried to flash it, new eeprom, virgin eeprom, but it wouldnt allow writing to it. So we gave up, and the phone started dying about a week ago. As I was smashing it, when it pissed me of, now it says Insert SIM card, and i think SIM slot pins are bended. But OK, now i have to figure out how to backup all the SMS messages that are on it. I have an IR, but obviously i can't get into a menu to activate it. Any suggestions?
And there's a second thing. Now i'm probably gonna buy another used 6210 (as I like it very, very much, and cannot afford to buy 6310i at the moment - even though it's my dream phone). I don't know how to check the phone when I'm buying it. Sure I can test it, but perhaps it won't lose the signal at the moment, as it could turn up later and there I am, stuck with another phone that's gonna drive me nuts - again. Oh man, it used to happen when I was talking to my girlfriend, when suddenly i lost a signal and had to wait for half an hour before it came back. Really, really nerve wrecking. It used to lose signal just as I took it in my hands, or when i pressed the keys to navigate through the messages. Aaargh. I don't won't to go through this again. So what do you fellows think. Any other possibility of checking the phone for signal problem on the spot when buying it? Thanks for your help

    BTW
At the moment I'm using friends Motorola V50 and it's awful. Can't wait to get rid of it.
