5110 smaller menuTXT, possible?

jaz want to ask if it's possible to make the menuTXT of 5110 smaller fontsize? so that i can enlarge the menuBITMAPs up to 64X28...

pls post instruction...

Hi,

Find and change from:
"<FS0><ALCH><TR1>"
to:
"<FS2><ALCH><TR1>"

FS = FontSelect, the font index from ppm.
AL = Allign the object, L=Left, CH = Center

The string may appear more times in Ur file, then U have to test for getting the right one.

demo locations:
3210-600 at 080350
3310-579 at 0A8E1B
8210-531 at 0A45BC

Do think about the vertical sizes.

The toprow = 7 pixels, the bottomrow = 11 pixels.

So create a 84*30 max. without the texts, or 84*(30 - textheight) with the menu texts.

two more question,
1. what software should i use to change the values of FS, AL,TR1?
2. if i change the ALIGN from CH(center) to L(left), it's obviously 1byte smaller than the original, what should i replace with the remaining byte?

Hi,

U can use any hexeditor program U like.

For the missing byte, U can add one 0x00 value after the <TR1>

So like ..54 52 31 3E 3E 00.. into ..54 52 31 3E 00 00.....

"<FS0><ALCH><TR1>" into "<FS2><ALL><TR1>\0x00"

just wnt to ask, what software should i use to change the menu bitmaps with a new size of 16x28? i've tried flsedit, but when i flashed it back to the phone, it displays contact service. i FAID it using EepromTools by BPhreak and corrected CHKSUM using NFree, but still it's CS.
my phone is 5110 ROM4. any idea?

Hi,

Try changing only 1 logo in flsedit, then save it.

Flash it and set Faid.

It should work that way.

thanks NokDoc! it works! after i change the phonebook's menu bitmap and flashed back to the phone, it worked. then i change the other menu bitmaps and it also worked. now i have my fully enlarged bitmap on menus(thanks to your assistance, to joox for his flsedit).

it also has fade in/out effect(thanks Al!) and netstrength(thanks to g3gg0!) and of course it has 65 ringtones! very cool 5110!

if anyone out there wants my flash, i can publish it here...

modifications made on 5110:
a. large bitmap on menus
b. net strength(g3gg0)
c. fade in/out (Al)
d. 65 ringtones
e. inbox security code(eleoson)

If i write a bigger number to the ZERO will i get a smaller text output, and if yes which is the smalles text? (What number of it?)

Hi,

FS = Font Select.

It selects the id number from the available packages in Ur ppm FONT file.

So if U have 4 different packs there, like in 3210, U can use nr 0-3.

Which font sizes are used, depends on the settings there.

Is it able to add more font pack into the flash file? Beacuse i tried many ppm editor but those can only "rewrite" an existing one...

you can draw fonts yourself, or you can import.

i have found that importing will mess up whole flash if changing font x size.

it's hard to do all the fonts in same style if they are complicated.

Mr. NokDoc, could you please tell what to look to make main screen refresh as fast as net/battery bars refresh?
and does this affect screensaver speed? i hope not..

Exellent graphic, but check the TONES menu. The eagle eye is 1 pixel left as the otherz!
