    Handsfree dilema

Hi people, i recently bought an official nokia hands free kit for my nokia 3650. My main reason for doing so was the hope to be able to use it to watch videos on my fone on the train and not annoy the people around me. But unfortunately i have found that i can hear the sound through the headfone but it still comes out of the phone too. is there any way to disable the phones speaker so that i can just use the handsfree kit as a sound source, or have i wasted my money? Cheers peeps!

What you have to do, is play whatever you want on your phone, and then very slowly insert the headset into the phone. When it's about half way in, the sound will only be heard through the headphones. Keep trying it. You have to insert it very slowly.

This is very buggy!!! I don't understand why nokia done it so !!! however dear my friend, how much have you pay for the headset???
I think that you have payed it 25€-$ (is the stereo headphone + mic compatible with the 8310 right? ?) right?

A simple way to get headphones on nokia phones is buy a jack adapter from 3.5 to 2.5, that you can find in every electronics shop!!! I payed it 1.5€ an I can use the common headphones !!! it's a bit cheaper, don't you think so ? The only problem is that you mustn't insert it all, but you must leave 1-2mm otherwise you'll hear only a channel!! (this happen because the nokia jacks has 3 separated channel [sx ch/dx ch/ mic] while the common headset has only 2 channel [sx ch/dx ch])

    see ya!

    Here's a very short guide.

1.) HAve the file you want on your phone on your computer (by downloading or some other means. USe KAzaa Lite K++ to download files.)

2.) Download a program which converts files.

Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 Beta or PvAuthor (converts to .3gp. ok quality, but small files)

Helix Producer (converts to .rm files. Good quality but very large files).

3.) once the file is converted, just copy it to your phone (a mmc card reader is recommended for large files).

Or just download converted files off the internet.
