Please Help! 6610 Optus Australia not working!!!

hi everyone . . .

i recieved unlock codes for my phone from yeldar.co.uk and also through various code generators. All sources gave me the same codes, but code 1 and code 7 both recieved code error!!!!!!
my imie is = 350894307952277
the mmc-mnc = 505-02 (optus Australia)

Yeldar from gsmhelp.info replied that maybe optus australia is using a different mnc... Can anybody comment on this?

If not, is it possible to unlock my 6610 via a cable?
If so, what type of cable do i need and what software...

Anybody's help is greatly appreciated,
