Hi crew-can ya's please help me with a tricky one?
I am trying to repair a badly ingressed 6610.It has a very strange problem that I can't seem to repair.I put the unit in an ultrasonic cleaner,and let it dry for the proper amount of time.Upon firing it up for the first time without a sim card, it was a well behaved fone! However place a sim card in ti and it vibes continually and will not find the sim card or network.Take out the vibe and the unit will not fire up at all!
I have reflowed the uem and processor and placed into the ultrasonic 4 times,while the flux is still warm, and no positive result!I have worked on this unit and reslodered just about every uGBA and component.I have found that the vibe terminals seems to be shorted somewhere in the system.Can someone shed some light on this drama,or point me to some clear, concise, schematics,so that I can repair this fone? I hope you guys have had more experience with 6610's as they are fairly new over here- Cheers -fix
