    phone is screwed......

    Hello :)

This could be prevented by researching the internet first. It is NOT POSSIBLE YET to upgrade a 7250 to 7250i just by flashing because of issues with different flash file sizes and different adresses within the flash file.

A 7250 which has once been flashed with 7250i software is a paperweight. Many have tried it, and all have failed. The flashing process does no harm, but once the phone is started, the software runs a check and finds that the IMEI number does not match with the software version. It then tries to confirm several things, in that process making changes to some programmable part of the memory (i also don't know too exactly WHAT and WHERE but i know it does) and the phone finally finds out that there is a wrong software, and goes into "Contact Service".

Then you can flash the original software back, but due to the changed things from the 7250i software, you may end up with "Contact Service" still or as in your case, with a "no network" situation due to an invalid IMEI.

You will need to replace the phone's UEM chip, which holds the IMEI number, with a virgin one. Then flash the phone, and THEN write the IMEI in the UEM. This chip can only be programmed once!

Most likely this operation will cost you more than a new phone........

    Kind regards.....
    Thanh
