Nokia 8250 unlock plz help

Country / Provider : Australia / Optus

I used SmartDTC to calculate the code to unlock the phone. Here's what I got

Can someone plz confirm me this number is correct ?

I tried to enter this number into the phone w/o the SIM card inserted and nothing happened. I didn't even get an error message. Is it normal ?

Do I have to be in Australia when I enter the code cause right now I am in Canada

You have a DCT3 phone and you're using a DCT4 calc.

The code for DCT3 phones are only 10 digits as opposed to 15 for DCT4's. (As I have heard, anyway)

You will need to post in the DCT3 section of this site for unlocking of this phone, or find a DCT3 calc for yourself.
