    Question 3650 - Broken data cable ?

    HI,

I've also made the mistake of entering the wrong remote unlock code 5 times on a nokia 3650 so i purchased a Serial Data Cable off eBay. The power runs through it (phone starts up) and it reads the SIM but i can never connect to it with unlocking/flashing software. I've tried using a lot of nokia tools including Rolis 1.9, New nokia tool and others. I tried Auto Setup, i tried manual setup, also used UserPort when i tried in Xp. Ive tried in both 98 and XP but it just can't find the phone.
Please let me know if anyone has advice before is send the cable back.

    Thank You

The reason that it NOT working is that you are using DCT-3 software on a DCT-4 phone.

Also NO free direct unlock solution for the series 60 phones.

You will need a DCT-4 box like a griffin to unlock your phone now.

    So send the cable back.

Also you have posted this question in the wrong forum.

    Unhappy Similar Problem??

    I think i have a similar problem..

i have a 3510i a have the right Data Cable for it but i can't "find the phone"

    the data cable is FBUS/MBUS

I use Xp Pro, and all the software i tried can't find the phone.. (

i've tried Oxigen Phone Manager, i set the port speed to 115200 like advised in their foruns but i get PHONE NOT FOUND AT COM1 (i've tried COM2 aswell)

I've Tried Nokia Pc Suite.. but results were the same.. (btw i used version 5.02 is that the correct version for my phone)

i've also tried Oxigen using UserPort, but with no results..

Although i can see the phone using only MBUS.. that isn't usefull for data tranfer (

    Can Someone help me pleazzzzz
