try dialing 911, or 112, or 08 and see if it places a call to emergency number, if call cant go through, then the phone is either out of claibration, or the PA is bad.

    could be blocked.....

    Hello

Eventually you got a blocked (barred) phone, which was previously reported as lost or stolen. It therefor has been IMEI-blocked and can no more be used in your country.

Use the menu and go to "settings" - "phone settings" - "network" and set it to "manual". Let the phone search for networks, it should come up with a list of some if you have any coverage. Then try to log into your home network (the one which's SIM is in the phone) and see what happens. If you get a "no access" message, the phone is barred. If it logs on and STAYS on, it will work from then on. But if it logs on only to lose the network after a few seconds, it

    -might be barred
    -might have a defect (hardware)
-might have been badly flashed and needs a re-flash

In that case, try to flash it (or have it flashed by someone) and see if it THEN works. If it turns out to be barred, return it to it's previous "owner" and demnad your money back, as it is most likely astolen phone.

Crime SUCKS big time... don't support it.......

    Kind regards.....
    your Thanh

    IMEI reporting

    Hello

No, when you register, the IMEI isn't taken. But you get a phone in a box... sales package. And on that box is a sticker with the IMEI. Now, should you lose the phone or it got stolen, call the provider and give them the IMEI. Eventually you get a replacement phone for free, since you are on contract... and the IMEI that you reported lost/stolen becomes blocked. So whoever got that phone now can't use it.

    Kind regards....

Also whenever you make a call or send a message the IMEI is logged on to a database and when your phone is reported stolen they call up the IMEI from there and match it tour your phones registered type then block that IMEI number!
One day the world will end, the next day who will care??
