8310 stolen recovered now unuseable: pz help

my 8310 was recovered after a theft. Now the screen says "sim card rejected" (so it seems like the theif tried unsuccessfully ot defeat the pin code and locked the phone. When I try another, good, sim card, all seems well until I try to imput the pin number - no keys work. A few seconds later the phone starts to beep contuously. Is my phone dead forever? or is there a solution?

Your phone has been permenently blocked on all the English networks. All you can do now is offer it for sale to a european country. Sorry mate.
