8260 Data cable

I've yet to find a data cable for a Nokia 8260. Can someone please help! What other cables will work. All I want to do is replace the logo and rings on my phone. Thank you in advance for any help. I live in the USA in the state of Texas.

We built our own data cable a few years ago before they even released them but that would not do you any good for what you want to do.

Ring tones and Group Logos are sent through SMS. So as long as your carrier (assume its Cingular or ATT being Texas) support it, which both do and your setup up to receive SMS then you would go to the carrier SMS gateway to send messages and paste the text into it.

Your going to have to locate Rings/Graphics in the 'sckl format'. So start your Search Engine searching.

Depending on the size you will see they have to be sent via 1 or more packets (messages) to the phone.

BTW, the 8260/8265 is probaly not compatible with logomanager.
The ringtone format that the phone understands is totally different than that of GSM nokias, and it does not supprot operator logs, but it does support startup logos.

The only thing I was able to do when I owned a nokia 8260 was change the startup logo with logomanager, I changed the ringtones with wintesla, but it wasn't easy.
