    Internet on Unlocked phone

hey everyone, i was just about to get myself a 3620 when i heard that unlocked phones do not support internet if using a different service provider. In my case 3620 is for at&t and i have tmobile. Is it true that if i get the phone i won't be able to use the internet? Any solutions?

    hmmm.. u refering to wap/gprs?

i tink it will work, but u juz need the settings from ur telco, and haf wap/gprs activated by ur telco.

yeah, that's what i'm referring to. Thanks for you help. Also though, where would i find these settings, and would i just be able to change them or is there some sort of lock on changing them.

note: also i sold a phone on ebay that i unlocked myself using the codes from this site. It was locked to T-mobile. will the person using a different service be able to use wap/gprs?

so i've been reading around and apparently the gprs is locked to the service provider and needs to be flashed to be unlocked. Is there any other way to get rid of the gprs settings and put new ones in without flashing?

also... how much does flashing usually cost?

well, like i said, juz request ur telco to send the gprs settings to u, and then save the new settings. its not locked to the fone. but o2 settings are needed to use o2 gprs, and so on.

and flashing the fone, i dun tink u need to flash it. flashing it is free, if ur fone is under warr, else it will cost u ard $20.

like i said, try wif a valid card, request the telco to send u the gprs settings, den haf a shot at it.
