8850 with Strong Bar Signal

Hi,


Is there any body who could help me to locate the problem of 8850 which has strong bar signal but whenever I make a call it could not make any contact and also if I send a message to somebody message failed error appear. I have already checked it with Eprom test 4.0 and there is nothing wrong with it, already upgrade its software and update FAID still failed to make a call and send any message.

Have you tried chaning its IMEI??

try this first before anything else
Also couple be a hardware problem can't remember what it is though
Its a long time since I messed with any hardware

Would you mind if I asked where I will I get the IMEI, cause I'm using its, original IMEI. Can I used the IMEI of other cellphone unit?

Just try an IMEI out of another phone to see if it works

Changing the IMEI is illegal in many countriesn so be careful

Frist change to a new PA.

See sign of any damage on antt. switch,or reflow the Haggar.

If Tx & Rx stays for short time,is time to replace Hagar.

i have same problem w/ 3310.....so i replaced RF amp......its ok right now...

try to check the message setting menu of your phone for the messages sent as-it must be as text,for texting error.since you have full signal indicator and you cant make a call,change the 32khz crytal oscillator of your phone ccont.this will, i hope solve your problem.I had a previous case like yours on my repairshop.
