Lightbulb *Tested Working Dual Headphone Headset on a Nokia 7610*

I have found a working headset, with two headphones which will work on a Nokia 7610, and provide output in both ears.

I ordered a Nokia HS-3 fashion headset from ebay, to test after reading about it on these forums.

What I recieved was actually a HDS-3 headset, and it worked!

Now after reading through the sellers feedback, I believed the item to be a fake, so I compared it with a real nokia HDS-3.

The differences I noticed were that it has no arrow, on the pop port connector, and there is no L & R indicators on the headphones. Also the general build quality feels alot cheaper if you compare both at hand.

So my conclusion is that fake headsets will work, probably because to save money on building them they are actually made as mono.

So i believe that most fake headsets will work, and I get to listen to MP3's in both ears, so Im happy

...Sooooo if nokia had just put an SD card slot in their phones with SD I/O capabilities (there are cards that plug into SD slots but add functions such as WiFi, bluetooth, connection to a hard drive, etc. These require SD I/O), you could hook up 100GB hard drive to your phone. Or if you've got a wifi hotspot in ur house, you could do access anything on your computer on your phone. Now seriously, how hard would it have been Nokia...

i have tried a 'fake' hds-3 (i think) headset and i works with my 7610 but the volume is still low and if the pop-port socket (if touched) makes the sound come out of the fone.

overall its still shit as the volume is still low, aint tried it with mp3's yet, but gonna try it soon. not to worry, it only cost me £2.99

Yea, I just got my Aftermarket HS-3 Fashion headset and it works on the 7610. Mono sound through both earpieces. However, the volume ain't that loud. The loudspeaker is louder than the headset!

Oh well. A mono device is always mono. I'll live with that. At least there's a megapixel and sexy style to play around with
