8910i ring free (hey all)

Hey all, new to this forum so im V sorry if im repeating anothers question.

My 8910i has stopped ringing. It still "vibes" to the tone selected. I've tried selecting different profiles and changing the profiles to get past any "bug" the phone have but with no evail. I imagine the 8910/i are based on the 8310 chassis which ive heard fall apart pretty good. The speaker still works btw for me to hear a callers voice fine btw.

Is this failure more likely mechanical/electrical (busted up) or software?

P.S u appear to do some crazy stuff with ya phones which i admire greatly. What are the limits to my own phone?/ Other Nokias?

For me it sounds like an hardware issue. I have a 7210 in same condition and the problem lies in a chip called Audio Amplifier.

Nevertheless, flashing a phone can never harm. so if you can get anyone to upload firmware into the phone, take the chance

For the moment don't count on modifications for your phone since it belongs to a recent generation (DCT4) not yet reversed.

Ahh i see,

Well a flash better not cost me sod all at my Nokia repair shop. I'll see if that works. DCT4 yet to be reversed awww! I hope its potential is better than hoped.
