hey sorry i have a qustion and i know its not the right place to say it here but i said there might be ppl kknow about this thing so i want to ask u ppl :
HOW CAN I KNOW SOMEONES NAME FROM HIS IP ADRESS ?!?!
example :now i got my friends ip adress but hw ca i know his name from the ip adress or his phone number anything
i think there is a site or a program ...

I think is not possible.

Well if the "friend" that you have the ip have a service like a finger server installed you can retrieve info or it,but only the info that he wants to tell.

but plz dont harm others computer just for fun

or hack your ISP to get the list( not advisable)

This all depends where the IP is coming from. Is it from the PC/Internet or Phone? IS their provider using static IP (always stays the same) or Dynamic IP (changes on every connection)?

If their IP comes from a phone, most likely it goes through a proxy server and you would only be getting the proxy server's IP address.

If their IP comes from a PC that uses Dynamic IP, then it would be hard to keep track of their IP as it would keep on changing everytime they log on the Internet, and therefore have to keep track of their IP.

If their IP is static, then you may have a chance of figuring out who it is. That is if they don't have a firewall, or some other protection like through a LAN using another proxy.

But if you have gone through all of this, then a program can be used on ur PC to scan that IP and give you information about that Device by doing a IPScan.

Can you give us more detail? Like

Why do you need this for?

Why do you need he's name or number?

Are you trying to find out information about a person you don't know?

Is the other IP a phone?

Can you give me a better example?

It's hard to use he's/her's IP address to find out what's their name and phone number, because those information would not be disclosed on the other side specifically.
