    Nokia IMEI Blacklist check

    Hi All,

Can anyone help me? I would like to check the IMEI of a 6105 i got from a friend for free. It's case and display were badly damaged, i changed them. But the imei on the nokia sticker on the back and the imei stored in the phone were not the same. So before I use it, i would like to be sure, that this phone was not stolen or blacklisted.

I found DruCrew's site, but i don't have 50EUR for it, because the whole phone worth less than that.

    Can anybody help me?
I was told to look for a forum-mate, called "dd69". So dd69, are You here?

    Thx,

if possible find another DCT3 handset and plug the DISPLAYED imei into it (to do this easily you will need a 3310 or better) Then put in a sim and see if it works. You could change the imei of the old phone to the one which is displayed on the sticker. allthough I cant see why you cant just put a sim card in and try it?

one fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight, back to back the faced oneandother drew thier swords and shot each other.

My move was a precautionary one. Here in Hungary it is possible that the police asks the provider not to blacklist a phone reported to be stolen, rather traceing the IMEI of it.
because my friend who gave me this handset could not exactly tell where it is from (her fater got it), so i was a bit cautious, because I did not want any trouble.

    Thx for the reply.
