no display with sim in!

I have just put a new screen in my 8210 after leaving it in its box for a while after the old one broke. if the phone is charging or switched on with no sim in the display works fine but if i insert a sim and turn it on then the screen goes blank within a few seconds. please please help me. i have flash and mbus cables etc.

hi, try changing the LCD again maybe your LCD is not that good.

pls check the connector of the LCD or u can change a new LCD

It is a combined soft/hardware failure!

I had the same problem with my 3310. I flashed a new software to it and it seemed to work ok.

When i opend the inbox and tried to read an sms it got blank.
But is was better then blank at once.

I tried many software things but nothing worked.
I was conwinced that it was a soft. thing.

When i changed the display it worked!!!.

The strange thing is that the error only occcured when opening a sms.. There is no spesial grafics there!.

I think that it is one of nokias mysterious errors.
And I do think they will cover all display errors unless it is broken (physically)
