AAAH, what is R406

I installed new blue led's on my 3310 and that was fine. I then proceeded to brighten them by shorting out R404 but in the process i chipped R406 which is right above it. Now the LCD leds don't come on.

Looking at the schematics, it doesn't seem to be a resistor. It has the text 14v/46v next to it. Does anyone know what this is. Hopefully its something i can purchase

i'm not really sure , but if my memory's right it would be a varistor

yeap, ur right i just looked it up on the internet and the varistor has the same symbol.

On the schematic it says that its rated at 14v/46v. but the max that the ic controlling it can put out is 4v. Is that right? or should there be a decimal place in my values, (1.4v/4.6v)
