Angry Flashing virgin EEPROM to 8210 causes Contact service

Whenever i flash a virgin EEProm to my 8210's, i get Contact service.

    why?

Flashing virgin eeproms to other phones have never been a problem. only the 8210. I Flash from 3D00000.

if i flash a full backup i don't get CS.

    have anyone got a clue?

    Exclamation yes!

u do also on the 8250

write a imei to it them click repair imei then set faid then all works

does it also when doing 8210>8250 conversions

i think if you flash a virgin eeprom then the next step would be to set the imei...then you know the rest...

So you mean that i have to change imei on it while it displays contact service? and then reset the phone, and it should work?

thought it was impossible to fix CS without flashing...

    correct!

just use bphreaks tools to type in new imei then click ok then repair imei then set faid then reset fone then all done

Thanks man! i'll test it later.

Do I HAVE to use bphreaks, or can I use any other tool? I use Nokia Tool 3.21 usually - bphreaks don't work on my PC (winXP)

    Exclamation use whatever m8

    dont matter.

as long as u write new imei number to it... fix eeprom... then update faid.... and reset fone.

    thats all

    cool.

By the way, i have 2 8210's that don't get any signal. I've tried changing IMEI, updating FAID, and copy a full flash from a working 8210 (including the IMEI), but nothing works.

The antenna is broken right? or do you have a simple solution to this problem too?

The no signal problem has not happened because of flashing etc. i just got the phones from a guy who told me to try to fix them.

can be numbr of things... check PA, antenna contacts... but if it's cobba then it's NOT an easy repair You need hot air station to fix that.

if you can get network and signal but didn't stand for few second then drop, and update FAID also won't help, then it should be PA, if you can't even get network, should check with haggar or cobba.

if you not family with soldering, better send to a mobile reparing shop to let them check for you.

I just flashed a virgin EEPROM to my 8210 now, but i can't change IMEI!

Nokia Tools 3.21, can't read the phone properly, and Knok just give me error messages (as usual).

These programs won't work on my computer so i cannot use them:

EEprom Tools, just says "phone not connected"

Rolis Nokia tool says "Check MBUS cable"

    What can i do?
