    Invalid MSID

Hi, i have just made my self a flasher cable and it works fine. So i loaded the 3310 v5.57 to my 3310. The problem is i cant set FAID or clear sp locks to complete the process because apparently my 'MSID number is invalid'. Rolis tells me that the msid should begin with 81,82,83 but all that comes up is tons of zeros, even wen i restore factory settings the msid is still invalid, how do i make it valid?

    Hi m_Baldan,

It sounds to me like you had the phone unlocked by partial flashing which deletes or makes the MSID unreadable to the unit, I think the easiest solution is to flash using a full flash - mcu + ppm + eeprom then change IMEI to original (printed under battery) update chks > FAID > reset software with nokia tool 3.21 by Jordic or nokia tool 1.8 by Rolis also use these tools to unlock as they don't damage MSID. I hope this helps.

    Regards.
