8310 phone restriction?

Hi there,

i was asked to fix a phone for a freind but when i tried my sim in it it came up saying phone restricted then when u press undo it asks for restriction code so could anyone tell me if the phone is done or can i fix it and how can this be done?

my mate said its been unlocked but i dont know what network it was on before hand, when i put a vodaphone sim in it it says phone restricted then when i press undo it asks for a restriction code.

i need to know the network the phone is on now or i canot calculate the restriction unlock code this is very inportant regards eddie

what can i do if the phone dosent let me put a sim in iv tried vodaphone i could get others but this make a difference what i mean would the phone accept the sim that was in it to begin with cos as i said i was told it had been unlocked but then again my mate dont know much about phones.

you need to try all simcards the one that works is the network its lockted to this is the one i need to know about we no its not lockted to vodafone

i tried all the sims like you said and orange came up with no network but at least i know what network it was on now.

hi eddie,

the codes seem to work when i put them in it said restriction off

but i have no network covarge with orange or vodaphone

have i done somthing wrong oh and see the codes at the end do i put them the way i put the first two in i havent done that yet is this what i should do?

try to make a phone call on vodafone if you get a beeping noise your mobile phone is blockted by all networks if this is the case all you can do is sell your phone in another country it will work then somewhere like spain

yes your right got beep no network coverage so i guess the phone is nackt no probs but hey i remember the selling it to an arab the next time im in the desert.
