Help With Flashing 8310 Needed!!

Dear All,

I own a Nokia 8310 but it has developed some problems:-

1) Startup tone plays in disjointed bursts - like the sound file has been corrupted??

2) No signal at all when I know there is because other phones work fine and this one used to.

Its all v.odd! After it doing this, I left it off for two days, and then it worked for a bit, but suddenly dropped to no signal, and when I restarted it, it played the startup tone weirdly like before.

Is there some way in which I can re-install (flash?) the software back onto it? I don't have any data cables, but I do have infra-red on my PC. Can I do it with this?

there is no free flashing software available yet for DCT4 phones. It looks like you will have to pay for it to be flashed. By the way the phone hasn't been dropped or anything ?. it may be hardware fault.

Thanks for the tip. So where can I go to get it flashed? Nope hasn't been dropped.
