How do u install zip files??

ok..

i have this file mobile casino s60 but i dont know how to install it..

it is in zip format..

if i send it in zip format my phone cant read it.

it doesnt have a .sis file inside.. it has about 80 files so sending 1x1 is a hassle..

what can i do?

I think ur problem is u don't find .sis file in ur zip files right ? well...i've encounter the same problem,i have some games i download from server and it's in zip format and when i extract the files...i don't find .sis files,all are .class files and .png files,i'm a bit confuses because i've tried what u did to send the zip files to my s60 fon and still can't install.I get no answer/way out until now.

Maybe somebody know something and explain to both uf us here,

Oh one more thing,if u want to open a zip file format from ur fon u nees to install zipman to ur fon.

And I think if the zip files did not contain a .sis files or .jar or .jad files,it can't be installed on the fon.

just simply rename it to .jar then upload to phone then install

i also encountered this problem when downloading on some yahoo groups

or before you download, check first when it is a zip file or jar file, if it is a jar file then save as with an extension of jar

that would do it

i renamed mine and i added .jar but in the fone its says .jar.zip so basically its the same..

basically, by default extesion on windows other operating system are not shown for some preventeive measurement

so here how to show extension on windows xp, open a file browser (windows explorer) then TOOLS --> FOLDER OPTION then on the VIEW tab uncheck HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES then APPLY then OK

now, you can see the extension of all the files, just rename the zip file to jar

sample.zip ---> sample.jar

got it?

i can't work out how to rename the file...i have windows 98 and can't find the option....

or at dos, command is
ren oldfilename.zip newfilename.jar
