    8210 - Not Charging

    Hello,
I have a nokia 8210, and when i plug a charger into it, it says "Not Charging" Is there anything that i can do to make it charge?
I know its not the battery, as i have changed that, but i dont know what it could be.
I dont know if it makes a difference, but heres a few things about it.....

When you plug the charger in does the phone make a buzzing sound??
If it does then the charger IC needs replacing BUT you can put a jumper in that will make the phone charge!!

I hade the picture somewhere but cannot find it, if you search you should be able to find the pic on the web somewhere!

Hiya, no, it doesnt make a sound at all, as soon as i plug the charger in though, the message comes up straight away, no delays.

Have you tried a new software version??

Also try plugging in the charger taking the battery out and then replacing it!

I had a similar problem with my 3310 but it was the other way round!
It used to say 'charging' when you didn't have a charger init!
    That was a software problem!

Cheers mate, but its not that. Ive got two different 8210's and ive swapped over the fronts, and ive finally worked out that the back of one of the 8210's has a fault. I think it could be the battery connecter block, as ive changed everything else on it!
Thanks for all ur help though,

    Rich
