3310 Help me :(

Hi guys can some one plz help me with my kids nokia 3310 , it was dropped in water , i dried it all out , waitied 24hrs then put it bak together . it worked for about 2 seconds saying insert sim, then it went off never to come bak on . all i get is the screen lighting up ???

I THINK YOUR LCD IS BROKEN SO TRY TO PUT THE SIM INSIDE THE PHONE AND WAIT FOR 15 SEC THEN CALL FROM ANOTHER PHONE IF IT RINGS CHANGE LCD IF NOT MAYBE NO SIGNAL ,,SO FIRST CHEACK THE LCD FIRST...

hello, well you need to wash the board first and drying it very well. also check the terminals- the link to the battery and that also to the board. these areas has to be clean.

pantha-your submarine has probably developed a series of dramas!
1]the lcd has probably failed
2]if u call the fone and it does not ring ,then it is probably saying 'contact service 'on your lcd[which is buggered.
3]the ringer and vib will most definitely have failed,as this is a weakness of this model with fluid exposure, as well
4]wash phone in isopropyl alcohol[not lcd or battery],and then gently clean lcd contacts with alcohol /soft tootbrush.then use a heat gun or hairdryer to dry unit off.
5]let unit sit 4 a while to give time for alcohol to evap. from under ic's
6]see what happens-hopefullly you havent killed it!!
