Phone keeps flashing in silent mode!!

If I select the silent mode in my phone, the phone flashes after a call arrives. This flashing goes down after the call disconnects, but not always. At times the phone keeps flashing until and unless i unlock the keypad (if it's locked) or check the missed call (if it's unlocked). Is it a firmware problem (I am using version 4.18.) or there any other reason behind it?

If it's a firmware problem, I know what to do, otherwise please provide a solution. (It sucks battery very fast).

what do you mean with "the phone flashes????"

Phone flashes means the screen light goes on and off frequently. What else do you think flashing means??

any nokia fone is flashing is you select the silent or beep once mode but as I understand you mean the fone keep flashind afetr you answer the call till you disconnect it..hmmm i think its a hardware problem any way try to flash it with a pure flash file and see if the problem is still exist so its a hardware for sure

It does'nt happens when I answer the call, it only happens in a case of a missed call. Well anyway, thanks for the answer, I'm sure now that this is a firmware problem as you too told me. I have a newer version for 6610. I will try to flash it and solve the problem.
