    Question Cable Problems 5510

    Ok i own a Nokia 5510 and when i use my cable i cant switch on my phone and i have to have the charger in also to make it work. does anyone have any solutions to this problem... and any other handy hints would be appriciated too for my 5510 software V 03.53

    Nokia 5510 doesn't work with the universal fbus/mbus cable. As far as I know, it doesn't work with the fbus interface at all. So, if you have a universal fbus/mbus cable you simply have to insulate one of the fbus pins (i don't remember which one of them, you just have to try) so, that it cannot connect to the phone. Then you can only download logos or ringtones to your phone via the mbus interface. It takes a little more time, but works as well as with fbus.

    hello

    well actually i have 3310 datacabe and use it for 5510 it's the same back design and it happen Once but if u cheak ur data connection with the com or just swich the fbus to mbus from the cable u have and from the Logomanager software i think it;s gonna be allright

    That's right, if you have an universal cable with a fbus/mbus switch it's enough to switch it from fbus to mbus, but if you have an universal cable without switch, you have to insulate one of the four pins as described before.

    You are not right! I use F bus interface with 5510! It works right with F or M bus interfaces. But the cable must be manual switchable not automatic (software).

    nokia 5510 will work

    hi if u want to used nokia 3310 daya cable in 5510 u have to insulate the 5510 top left data point only then it will work other wise it will start and after few second will switch off make sure u insulate top left (top left when ur on/off switch facing sky)
