    i thought of something..

when you insert a simcard of a different provider to a locked phone it asks for restriction code.
but the way to unlock the phone is by entering the #pw+.. sequence, and all the calculators generate these codes. so, what is the restriction code used for?

isnt the *#PW code a restriction code

i thought the pw codes were restriction codes anyway. so if your phone asks for a restriction code you just plug a pw code in as normal. I could be wrong....

i mean, that to unlock the phone you have to remove the simcard, then unlock with the #pw+ code.

    but

if you turn on the phone, with a somcard of another provider (when it is locked) the phone will ask you for "Restriction Code".
so my question was what is this restriction code for if the way to unlock the phone is completely different.

it works even if you do put in the #pw+ etc stuff

Basically the restriction code is the #pw+number+1
You can enter it with no sim in or with the sim in!!!

    Regards
