Please Help! No network after flashed...

I have an 8290 with rom 5, has no signal and network after upgraded. but sometimes it picks up signal and network in a minute ~ 1/2 hour, after that very stable connection, i can make and receive a call, then if i turn the phone off/on again, the problem comes again.

Here what i did: ( I did some phones with same thing a couple times before very smooth and with no problem)
The firmware version was V5.06, i flashed to v5.22 (MCU, MPP, Eeprom), and i used Nokia Tool 3.03 to changed original IMEI, then used Eeprom tool to update authorityID, unlocked, Repair IMEI and Factory Reset.

I don't have any hardware of box, only flash and m/bus cable.

Anyone can help solve this problem?

    Thanks!

Why did you reflash the eeprom??

This may be the reason for the no-signal, I have found that if you do reflash the eeprom sometimes you will get a signal and sometimes you will not, even when you change IMEI etc.
Try re-flashing the backup and then just flashing MCU+PPM, if it got a signal before then you should if you leave the old eeprom on there!

Yup, it got signal before upgrade, even now it gets signal and very stable. it only picks up the network and signal in a munite ~ 10 minutes when i turn off/on power.

I didn't make a backup from this phone, I tried reflash backup from others, any version and Eeprom, but still same problem.

Hmmm, Try taking phone apart and cleaning the PCB, this will fix any contact problems between the Board and the Aerial!

    Otherwise I'm stumpped!

Also try re-heating the antenna switch and PA, this will fix the solder joints!

You need a hot air soldering gun, but it can be done with a hair dryer!

Baisically just heat the the Antenna Switch and PA until the solder melts, it will then stick back to the copper tracks and fix dead solder joint problems!

The PA and Antenna switch arer located at the top of the PCB, I think!
    I don't actually have an 8290 so I don't actually know!

i would agree w/ the procedure suggested. The PA is located roughly at the upper left hand corner of the board. Be very careful though ,not to overheat the part, it just might burn.
