Can anyone help ive got an 8210 and its has no signal, its on v5.26, does it need a simple software upgrade, or is there more to it.

right i see. do you have a copy of that programme i can use. ive never calculate FAID before, how do i go about doing that???

you need to use it with your m bus cable

connect M bus cable to phone,
turn the phone on
click on FAID button
and it should say (Bottom left) FAID calculated

unconnect cable and turn the phone on it should work

hello again, ive tryed to calculate it but it gets half way through and says phone disconnected, but ive not disconnected it. then when i try to do it again it says check mbus cables.

did you try turning your phone on??
you should get connection now

Try noktool by rolis 1.9 /it is in download section/ click on options-auto setup..

Hello does anyone know how to fix a signal fault on a nokia 8210 ive tryed all the above and it does not work still. I turn it on and there signal and then it just drops to nothin and wont work???

Dear Friend,
If the phone works normaly, i.e. you can enter the menu and use it, then IT IS NOT A FAID problem.
It is a hardware one.

Change PA or simply flow it with hot-air equipment.

It's my understanding that the antenna switch would more likely be the cause!? Isn't that the first port of call before the pa?

i have a problem here too! it's also 8210. after i make a call, (after hang up) the signal drops, until no signal at all sometimes..
what's the problem? thanks...!
