is it possible to fit the panels of 6610 onto the 7210 like how the 8310 and 6510 can xchange panels.

I have tested that previously, and it does not work. The reason is that the two phones, despite identical hardware and software, have a different "button layout", with which i do not mean the plastik keys that you press but the actual buttons underneath them on the phone's PCB.
You can fit the covers of each phone on another, but most of your buttons won't work then.
