Trick: Display Infrared Applet in control panel.

Heres how to display the infrared applet in control panel

You need the sdk 1.2 for 9210

Copy the following files :- infrared.acl, infrared.ctl, infrared.lib and finally infrared.r01 to \system\controls folder on your device

Files can be found under X:\Symbian\6.0\NokiaCPP\Epoc32\Release\thumb. Where X is where you have installed the sdk

The only thing you don't get is a proper icon for the applet. Does anybody know how to get the icon or how to make one and associate it to the applet

I have attached screenshots of the applet running

    I have tested this only a 9210i ver 05.34

    make icon

U can make icons, using the File Manager ("office" tab).

After running the FM, choose the file u want to make an icon.

Click "menu" beside the space bar --> file --> add to desk.

U can rename or move to others except the control panel.

Better than don't have the icon at all.

    Thanks anyway for ur information.
