    Unhappy Jar without a jad

I got a program and I want to install it on my 7210 but the problem is that I only got the .jar file and not the .jad file so I can't install it with nokia pc suite 5...
Is there a way to do it ?
    Thanks

Use something like Oxygen Phone Manager, it even lets you select where it goes properly

Create your own .jad file in notepad.
    eg:You'd create

    MIDlet-1: Bowling, , org.spruce.midp.bowling.Bowling
    MIDlet-Jar-Size: 24920
    MIDlet-Jar-URL: Bowling.jar
    MIDlet-Name: Bowling
    MIDlet-Vendor: Spruce Technologies
    MIDlet-Version: 1.11

    from

    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    MIDlet-Name: Bowling
    MIDlet-1: Bowling, , org.spruce.midp.bowling.Bowling
    MIDlet-Version: 1.11
    Created-By: 1.3.1 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    MIDlet-Vendor: Spruce Technologies
    MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.0
    MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-1.0

which is found in the .jar,in the MANIFEST.MF folder which is in the
    META-INF folder.
Just used this as an example.Hope u suss it.

Send me the .jar & i'll see what i can do with it.

  7. Or just use this JAD creating tool!

Don't bother creating your own, use the attached JAD generating tool. You can even place a shortcut to the program (or the program itself) on say your desktop then drag and drop the JAR file onto it. It will create the JAD file in the same directory as the JAR file.

    Enjoy!

i successfully created a jad file for gadgies and successfully installed it on my 7250 but it wont run on my phone..always unable to run application..pls try this on your phones..

create a new notepad file then put this info.

    MIDlet-1: Gadgies, icon.png, Pets
    MIDlet-Jar-Size: 65277
    MIDlet-Jar-URL: Gadgies.jar
    MIDlet-Name: Gadgies
    MIDlet-Vendor: nGame
    MIDlet-Version: 1.2

then click save as then filename gadgies.jad then click all files below.
