    6310i Shows Wrong Service Provider

    I recenlty purchased a second hand 6310i.

When I put my Virgin Sim into the phone, it comes up with One 2 One on the display. I know that Virgin use One 2 One transmitters etc, but why isn't it saying Virgin?

    that happens :)

    Hello
That is quite normal........ i guess that the provider ("Virgin") has been "One 2 One" a while ago, and that name is saved in the phone's operator database.
Come to Thailand and see the following:
Put a D-TAC sim card in your phone - it will display "WP 1800".
Put a GSM 1800 sim in it - it will display "Hello"
The reason is that the networks have changed names after the phone was released, so there's still the old name in it's database. Live with it... anyway you are going to put a custom logo on it sooner or later
    Kind regards.....

Yeah, like Thanh said! I'm on Virgin in Australia, but for 3-4 secs it says "Yes OPTUS"! They use th optus' towers! Just update your firmware if it bothers you so much!
A friend will bail you out of jail! A true friend will be in the cell with you saying " Shit, we really fucked up this time!!!"
