I have been reading your posts about the 3650 and 7650 and the future 6600 phone..
I just owned a 3650 2 weeks ago. And i think i am satisfied with it . It has nearly all the stuff i need in a phone , a personal contact manager and a Normal Pda, I think it got everything a normal palm or handspring PDA has ..

Regarding the 6600 , it has S 0s 7 Here Is an extract from the website about it

The major new features of Symbian OS v7.0s are:

lightweight multi-threaded multimedia framework

Basically , i dont care about size anymore, my country does not support W-CDMA, nearly all the jar files are compatible with me , i am not going to use a buggy bluetooth port which slowed my computer when i had it before , my wireless messaging is going fine. Dont know what PDP is , and i am not going to write THAI !!


So basically what we will see in the 6600 is the same thing we are seeing now , except for some internal modifications that we cant see and i assume ( I DONT need it) , the other Advantages can be installed by software. I am sure that 3650/7650 owners will not rest and will write out software to make their phones compatible with everything..

Maybe the only thing that i am missing is a word reader/sheet converted/database like the 9210 , that would make my phone totally complete..

What would i ask more for an instrument
that
1- acts as a phone
2- sends messages with different formarts, sms, ems, mms
3- browses the internet
4- gets my emails
5- takes photos on the run with zoom
6- plays different platforms of games .sis .jar .go boy , commodore and more
7- internal answer machine
8- mp3 player
9- expandable memory
10- Adequate color display .. People talk about the 64,000 tft displays as if they will be doign photo editing or watch a dvd on their mobile!
11- book reader with a library of books
12- internet radio and movie player
13- normal movie player..


What more would you need

DONT FORGET
A PDA OR A PERSONAL COMPUTER IS SOMETHING THAT YOU WORK WITH ON THE RUN AND YOU END UP CONNECTING TO A NROMAL COMPUTER , SYNCHING TO IT AND WORKING ON THE COMPUTER ..SO DONT DEPEND THAT MUCH ON A PDA!!
The thing is
you got to make yourself comfortable with what you have right now..Coz the market will realease a new phone(espeically nokia) every 4 or 5 month. And it is so torublesome to cope with it

First of all,the 3650 is not a PDA,its a smartphone,if you want a PDA phone combo,get your self a 9210i or maybe even a Sony Erricson p800.

To some extent you are right,the 6600 is just a minor 7650/3650 modification but there are big issues at stake.You mentioned the OS,Symbian v 7.0s,the OS is not the only thing that has changed,the UI version is updated,its Series 60 2.0 now,and there are a lot significant updates,like midp 2.0,Symbian Word,Speadsheet API's.There are a lot of essentian built in apps that should've been built in in Series 60 v 1.x(7650,3650) like a skin application,filemanager,media library,wallet etc etc.If you want to know more,there is documentation no forum Nokia.
