    3510i Twin SIM Problems.

    Hi.
I have a 3510i and 2 SIM Cards that I regularly use, I felt that using a Twin SIM back cover would be an ideal thing to use. I purchased one and tried it out.

When I have the SIM Cards installed I get problems in registering them. Either "Insert SIM Card" or "Failed Registration".
I have tried them singly, and in both positions, but to no avail.
When I use the normal method, (directly into the phone SIM slot) I have no problem.

The first time I tried a Dual SIM back was in a market, that also did not work.

Has anyone successfully got a Twin SIM cover/adaptor to operate in a 3510i?

    Regards from James Watt

    Hi James,
Yes i use a dual sim back on my 3510i and 3330/10.they work no problems.sounds like you have a faulty dual sim back,if its not too late try to get the back exchanged for another.

    Thanks Pete.
I only got the Dual SIM Back this morning, I'll write to the vendor and explain the problem and see if they have another type that does work.

I'd be interested as to which one you have, and where from?

    Thanks Pete.
I got my one (with the switch) from GSMDirect. I have Emailed them explaining the problem. I only got the thing last Saturday and tried all the combinations, but to no avail.

    Hi Pete.
I had another go at sorting out the problem, I borrowed my wife's SIM Card and it worked perfectly.
I'm a bit miffed, especially as my phone and SIM Card are just over 2 months old, the 14 day return has come and gone! Grrr
I hope the next SIM Card I buy for it works properly?

    Regards from James
