Unlocking 5190 ...

Hey guys, first timmer on this site, seems pretty complete if you ask me !

Ok here's the deal: Igot a fido phone ( microcell) , but I work for Roger's AT&T. I can get a free phone line with rogers but their intown reception is crappy compaired to Fido, except fido's is crappy outside of town. MEANING, I want to be able to switch sim cards and such.

I'd like to know how to unlock my phone ? Is there a special algorythm ? NE THING ? I know it has to do with the IMEI and the company your on.

I don't necessarily want you guys to just give me my unlock code, I'd like to know the actual algorythm and all, so that I can then make a little program in C++ to , how shall I say, easily re-do it next time ?

Download anyone tools for dct-3 and unlcok, simple! And that same program change imei in your phone !

okok 2 things : 1: I don't have the cable that hooks ups into the phone.
2) could you suggest a software that's easy to use and does this ? Thanks !

First of all, 5190 is a DCT3 phone and you really need a datacable for your phone inorder to be unlocked, get yourself a datacable or do it yourself. If you don't want to use any of the suggestions, then I suggest you going to a Nokia/Cellphone service center and tell them to unlock your phone (you have to spend money of course.)

5190 is a DCT3 and cannot be unlocked without using a data cable.
