Please help Unlock 8390

Hi Can someone please send me Unlock Code for my Nokia 8390. I want to use a T-Mobile SIM. Also, in another post I saw an unlock code which looked li #pw+201xxxx . How do I enter characters like pw into the phone. When I tried, it just lets me enter numerics....Please help..

to get the special characters: type *-key
2 times for +
3 times for p
4 times for w

you have to enter the code as-is, with all the #,* pw etc..in a phone without the simcard in it.

I do not know the present carrier. The phone is in the US, so has to be ATT or T-Mobile since Cingular does not offer these phones in the US. The phone without the SIM card does not let me enter characters you mentioned. I tried pressing twice but it needs the code before it can let me do anything. When I press 7 thrice, I see 3 sevens and not p. How does it let me enter those characters without the SIM. I am new to these things and so many questions..Sorry abt that..

you should be hitting "*" not "7".......but you only get 5 tries so I would'nt keep playing with the phone like that or you will lock it out and have to get a cable unlock..that's why we need to know the network

I got this phoen through a friend in Nokia....When I switch it on itself, its asking for some code..do you think it is already locked?

could be the security code which is normally set by default to 12345

or it can be a sim card code, which comes from the provider of the sim card
