If the phone was locked to AT&T then I have to unlock it using the AT&T code...... As long as you've put the code in correctly then you should be able to use your phone on any network you like.

Its defo not giving me any service - When I first bought the phone it came with an AT&T sim so I inserted that - that obviously worked straight out of the box - I managed to block the sim so I discarded it and inserted my ornage sim and then thats when it said I needed to enter a retriction code?

Ok, how many codes have you tried??...... If it asks for a restriction code with the sim card in then try it that way.

Have you been entering all the code including the #pw and the +??

When I turn the phone on it still comes up with the AT&T m-life logo etc before going to the menu screen? Normally the Orange (or whatever sim you are on) logo would appear and there would be a service, but it ain't happenin' ?

I did enter another invalid code earlier this morning for a 6100 which didnt work - I entered that one wrong and it clearly wasn't the right code but I entered it when it gave me the option to enter Restriction code???

~If you've entered more than 5 codes then your phone won't accept anymore codes...... You'll have to get it unlocked using a cable and software....

The splash screen that your on about will still come up as at&t thats got nothing to do with the phone not working on another network....
