Unlock Nokia 6610

I have a T-Mobile Nokia 6610. I assume it was from the USA, but not sure. I have a datacable as well, how do i read who the (original) provider was? What software do i need and where can i get it?

The GPRS setting are locked and i can't save or edit any other settings. One more question, the unlock code, what happens if it's keyed in wrongly after 5 times?

I think you can read it using bwinlock (from "drug store" site..listed on here if you search) or using the latest version of the Myke dct4 unlocker (also on here somewhere)

unlock codes will not let you change the gprs settings, but you may ask your provider to send you a configuration sms, that will set the gprs settings to work with your network.

if you enter 5 wrong codes you will not be able to unlock the phone with codes anymore. every code you enter (including the correct one) will just give you "cannot undo restriction". the only way to unlock the phone after that is by hardware device (cable, clip or box).
