newbie - poss damage phone? or locked?

hi

i have a 7210 which suffered water damage, has now dried for 2 months +, swtches on ok, and asks for sim pin to unlock, works ok... shows network signal and full batt, but gives engaged signal and wont dial out....

does this need unlocking????

can this be made to work???

The phone is barred .. no way of unlocking it without putting in a new UEM chip and changing the IMEI number ( Which is illegal in the UK)
