[6600] Unable to run oggplay or philips camcoder or ETI camcorder pro

I seem to be having trouble running those applications in my 6600. After installing and when I try to run them, I always get the: "App. shutdown" or something like that. ETI camcorder used to run though but not sure what happened because it refused to run now. I already reformatted the MMC, restored the phone to factory settings, installed ETI to the phone memory and removed the MMC before running it but I'm still getting the same error.

Anyone got any ideas?

And anyone know if there's a separate format procedure for the phone memory aside from the restore factory settings? (*#7370# if I remember it correctly)

hmm. ok. that's a good explanation The developers of Oggplay made no guarantee that it would work for the 6600 (but I was hoping it would anyway so I can get rid of my MP3s) But there are threads that the ETI camcorder does work if the audio is turned off and it did work for a while in my 6600 too before I began getting that message. I just can't seem to duplicate the conditions now As for the Phillips camcoder, I was able to run it too but it just won't record and the focus was off (someone here already mentioned that). Now it won't run at all.

oh wait. just read that I should go back to the past a bit for ETI to work haven't tried that yet so I'll update this thread and let everyone know.


Anyone know when Phillips will make their camcoder work for the 6600?

Rolling back the date made ETI Camcorder work again
Philips Camcoder now runs too -- using the blzpda release... still can't make it record though.
Still can't make Oggplay to run

* cross fingers on the authors making their wonderful apps compatible to the 6600
