    Setting New Devices for IRRemote

I am trying to up new device on IRRemote for my 6600 but don't know how. Want to set up my Xbox DVD remote and Austar cable receiver. I found some codes for Xbox, tried to put them in but am getting an error. Does anyone know how to do this???

You gotta lotta reading ahead of you. 1. Goto psiloc website and read the dialogue for Total Ir Remote, there you'll find links to remotecentral.com and Philips Pronto. 2. Total Ir Remote is the psiloc product which allows one to import new codes. 3. Goto philips pronto website and register and download the philips pronto software. 4. Locate the IR Codes you require from remotecentral's library's - import into philips pronto software, convert to pronto format (ingnor the graphics data - you only need codes). 5. using your IrDa or BT send the converted file to your phone, when you open it in messages, Total Ir Remote will automatically import the codes to the DataBase, assign the keys to the codes..... and thats done

    Cheers

Thanks for the advice. I managed to figure out all of that last night except the philips pronto bit. So when I messaged the files to the phone they were not configured correctly.

    Ill give it a shot.

    Pronto?

I just had a look at the Pronto website. What do I need to download. Do I need one of the Editors. They are like 25mB and I only have dialup connection!!!

What does this program do. I don't see how it is neccessary because the codes I have for my Xbox are already in ccf format.

    I have the same problem.

When I import the ccf file, doesn't Total Ir assign keys automatically, or do I have to assign each one?

There's alot of keys on mine!!
