how do i format the phones memory

I remember there was a code for doing this but i have forgotten it, can anyone remind me pls

and how can i bak up the contacts on the sim card

If the contacts are on the SIM Card ... its alright if you format the phone memory because the contacts are on a different memory source.

If you have your contacts on Phone Memory, scroll down to something like "Copy to SIM Direct."

In doing so, the contacts are copied to the SIM Card. After formatting, click on "Sim Directory" to view all the contacts on your SIM ... then copy them over.
