I am new here and confused. I've just bought a 3530 data cable, but tried Nokia PC Suite 5.0 & MobiMB Media Browser, but both cannot detect my phone. I am confused when I tried to find some answers here, and it seems like I have to unlock my phone in order for the software to detect it ? Please correct me if I am wrong.

sengylim u got the right info that u have to unlock ur phone in order for ur pc to detect ur phone it worked with me so go ahead and unlock ur phone and then try it should work.
