4 out of 5 and cant unlock a 1100

I am trying to unlock a 1100b. I bought it in chile and want to activate it in argentina.
I am using "code calculator by cybergsm 2.7" and also "ultimate calculator 1.0".
I read the "FAQ: Unlocking DCT4 models" as well as "EdgeCrusher experience".
The network code from Entel PCS from chile is 73010 and i double check my IMEI. Also, i used ASIC 2 and generated codes with:
- v2
- GTCL-001 (griffin clip)
- Griffin old
- Griffin new

Both software gave me the same results.
I am 100% sure about using the right network code, IMEI and ASIC, but still after trying the 4 generated codes (always the number 7 in each case) my phone is still locked. It said "invalid code" (or something similiar i cant remember).

Would it help to post the codes i got with each key code so anyone could compare?


I have one last chance to get the right code...hope anyone could give me some help.

Are you sure the phone is locked? because... you are making things correct i guess. I successed at the first try, so i didn't had to try another one...

In argentina, CTI won't unlock the phone, but Personal will do... and they will lock it to their network of course.

So, I would say... check, once again, if you're doing everything right, and check if you're entering the code exactly on the phone... no mistakes. If you're, well, try another time using the same proceedure that i used, and if it doesn't work... take it to personal. Are you in buenos aires? Before using that last try, first explain to them the situation, and ask them if they will unlock the phone. If they will, (ask how much they take for that... right now they're taking $180 Arg. for unlocking a phone locked to their network)... if you agree with them, then use that last try. I really don't know what you're doing wrong, except perhaps entering the code wrongly.

Well...

affortunatelly I unlocked. after searching under chileans forums, I found out that there are two companies from chile that go by the name of Entel. One is PCS and the other one is Telefonia Movil. My phone´s logo says Entel PCS and of course, the package said that too. That was why I was using the key code for Entel PCS wich is 73010.

As I said, I only had one last chance to get it right so I said what the hell Im going to try with 73001 wich is from Entel Telefonia Movil. I used ASIC 2 and Griffin clip. Punched the 7th code into the phone and it said "restriction off".

Hoping that everything will turn out well, tomorrow im going to "personal" to activate it.

The SIMcard cost $30, and then it depends on what you want, pre-paid or plan, it's your choice.

The suckers at CTI wont sell you a SIM card, so forget bout them.. they're just a bunch of id**ts who care more about earning money instead of the client... can't believe it. And a foreign client that wants just a pre-paid phone to use it while he's here?
