    Setting up stuff on Ngage with o2

    Hi, i finally got my hands on an o2 sim eventually, and was hoping someone could talk me thru (simply) how to do stuff, namely:

    1. I get 300 wap minutes, so how do i set up agile messenger to use this?
    2. how do i set up internet browser/email etc?
    3. how do i set up media messages? (i.e. sending pics to another phone)

    i went on the o2 site but was a bit out of my depth lol, didnt really understand what i needed. anyway, thats what i want to do, so if someone could explain to me how to do it that'd be great! i know all this stuff is possible somehow....but i've never had an o2 sim before so i dont know what i'm doing. theres also things on the n-gage site as well but i dont know what i need lol

    thanks

    Right, all 3 problems require you to get the wap settings off the O2 site. They are in the O2 active section, and then you need to click on the "get the settings" button. You can then choose MMS (Media messaging), GPRS and plain wap. Agile messenger will only with with normal wap on O2 PAYG, so you'll need that. In agile messenger, you just need to choose the wap access point. Then putin your details and it should all work. The key is getting the settings off the o2 site.

    but its the media messaging i cant get working, i've downloaded settings off both the o2 site and the n-gage.com site and set it to the prefferred connection, but when i try to send a mms it just stays in the outbox

    You need to get MMS activated. You can do this by ringing up O2.

    i rang up o2 to sort out mms, she sent me a settings message (which i already had about four times from the o2 and ngage sites) and told me the sim needed to be sorted for grps which would take 24-48 hours, this morning i got a message on my phone telling me mms couldnt be added as i already have it set up...but it still doenst work! what now? need mms! lol!

    Try calling up and just ask for GPRS. That might work...

    ok...went to an o2 shop and spoke to this woman (who, incidentally, didnt have a bloody clue how to work an ngage....is it that hard?) who phoned someone up who talked her thru how to set it up for me

    eventually, she managed to get it working, she sent a message to myself to show me. i left the shop (had been there half an hour, i was out the door as soon as she gave me my phone back) and tried to send my gf a picture, but, she kept recieving it it ended up sending the same message about 15 times, and nicely charged me for them all. before, the message would just stick in outbox, now, it has two in there, the one sent to myself (which was recieved and opened :S ) this says deferred, and the one i sent my gf which says sending. neither of these can be deleted, the first just comes up with 'Deleting Message...' and stops, the second wont even let me delete!

    help!

    Yeah, i've had that problem. I was assuming it was cuz i get poor coverage in my house, so it thinks it hasn't sent it properly. Also, they can take over a day to arrive. I don't use MMS that much, so i didn't bother trying to find a fix...

    mms = cool. MMs + 02 = Wank

    lol just got the mms from you musicboffin. Only took 3 days! sometimes they take 5 mins, other times it can be days, and you look a spastic when you ask someone what they are doing at the weekend on friday, and it arrives on sunday afternoon!

    02 are really bad on mms, they need to sort it out!
