    v200 IMEI wont change

i want to buy my mates phone, get the message "limited service" the IMEI wont change.

this phone is unlocked, i used cebros 1.5 to unlock it, i type in a new IMEI in the cebros 1.5 program, click change.

the program says to reset phone settings once imei changed, i go to the phone settings menu on my phone, go to reset settings, type in the default password "00000000", it then brings up a message saying "default setting", the phone says limited service, i switch off the phone and back on, it STILL says limited service, i cant make any calls or send texts, i have credit on the pay as you go orange sim card.

PLEASE can somebody help, i really wanna be able to use my new phone.

try typing *06# to see if the imei has in fact changed.

also try writing the original imei in to another phone of any make to see if in fact it has been barred.

limited access on a samsung can be another problem, such as no signal being recieved by the phone.

if imie is not changed, try another prog, like ust or agere soft

i managed to do it, you have to use the program when the phone is on, i had it off !
